Exfoliate 24-48 hours prior to your appointment using an exfoliating mitt or sugar scrub.
Shower and shave at least 4 hours, but preferably 24 hours, before your appointment. Shaving leaves pores open and can cause the spray tan solution to settle in them. Do not use moisturizing soaps, such as Dove body wash, prior to your appointment as to not create a barrier on the skin.
Come to your appointment with clean, bare skin. Do not apply moisturizers, oils, serums, perfumes or makeup before your spray tan. Remove deodorant as best as possible.
Clients can wear whatever they are comfortable with during their spray tan.
It is recommended to book 48 hours prior to any event.. If you book in the morning, you can rinse the spray tan that same evening. If you book in the evening, you can rinse the next morning. Spray tans take 24 hours to fully develop. If tanning for an event, book on Thursday is possible.
Following your spray tan appointment wear loose, dark clothing. If you'll be sleeping while your tan develops, wear long pajama pants and a loose t-shirt. Avoid skin to skin contact if possible.
Try your best to avoid sweating, spills or splashes immediately after your spray tan appointment. Moisture on a fresh tan spray tan can leave streaks, blemishes or areas that don't develop.
For a standard solution spray tan, you can rinse after 8-12 hours. For a rapid solution spray tan, you can rinse after just 2-6 hours. The first rinse should be just warm water, using your hands to blend the top layer of solution off evenly, down the body. Pat dry & moisturize the skin after.
Moisturize at least twice a day with an oil-free, Paraben-free and fragrance-free moisturizer. You can also use a tan extending lotion to add color back to the skin. Moisturizing is key in after care!
Hair removal products such as Nair, anti-acne products or makeup removers, Dove body washes and bar soaps, facial masks and scrubs. Avoid the use of hot tubs, pools and steam rooms.
