Exfoliate 24-48 hours prior to your appointment using an exfoliating mitt or sugar scrub.
Shower and shave at least 4 hours, but preferably 24 hours, before your appointment. Shaving leaves pores open and will cause the spray tan solution to appear spotty. Do not use moisturizing soaps or body washes, such as Dove, prior to your appointment as to not create a barrier.
Come to your appointment with clean, bare skin. Do not apply moisturizers, oils, serums, perfumes or makeup before your spray tan. Remove deodorant as best as possible.
Clients can wear whatever they are comfortable with during their spray tan.
It is recommended to book 48 hours prior to any event. Spray tans take 24 hours to fully develop their color. For example, if your event is on Saturday - book your spray tan on Thursday.
Following your spray tan wear loose, dark clothing. If you plan to sleep while the tan develops, avoid light colored sheets or blankets as the top layer of bronzer can transfer to fabric.
For at least 4 hours after your spray tan you'll want to avoid showering, working out, using moisturizers and applying liquid makeup. Your skin needs adequate time to soak in the solution.
For a regular solution spray tan, you can rinse after 8-12 hours. For a rapid solution spray tan, you can rinse after just 2-6 hours. The first rinse should be just warm water, using your hands to blend the top layer of solution off evenly. Once you're done, pat dry and apply moisturizer.
Moisturize at least twice a day with an oil-free, Paraben-free and fragrance-free moisturizer. You can also use a tan extending lotion to add color back to the skin. Moisturizing is key in after care!
Hair removal products such as Nair, anti-acne products or makeup removers, Dove body washes and bar soaps, facial masks and scrubs. Avoid the use of hot tubs, pools and steam rooms.
